STFS56CE Brushcutter New generation, light-weight petrol brushcutter with straight shaft, bike handle and ErgoStart. Modern appearance, convenient operation and very simple starting procedure are the highlights of the new generation STIHL grass trimmer range. The number of steps needed to start the machine has been drastically reduced. The frustration of a flooded engine is virtually eliminated. New 2-stroke engine with stratified charge allows fast acceleration, low emissions, reduced fuel consumption. Comes standard with fully adjustable bike handle and AutoCut line head.  
STIHL brushcutters and clearing saws quickly tame long grass and undergrowth. The machines can be fitted with the appropriate cutting tool for mowing small areas of grass to thinning out overgrown thickets. The models with the STIHL 4-MIX engine produce significantly less exhaust gases than conventional two-stroke engines, giving you increased fuel efficiency and causing less damage to the environment.

* Bike handle:
When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. Ideal for working on large areas and allows the machine to be easily guided, thus reducing fatigue.
 
* Manual fuel pump (Purger):
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
 
* STIHL ErgoStart (E):
Easy starting with less effort due to an additional spring between the crankshaft and the rope rotor. A smooth pull on the starter rope tensions the spring against the compression resistance of the engine. The jerks are not transmitted to the rope. The spring automatically transmits the stored energy to the crankshaft, causing it to turn and ensuring reliable starting of the engine.
 
* Goggles:
It is important to protect your eyes from flying particles and harmful UV radiation. Therefore a pair of safety goggles/glasses are supplied with the the machine. Note: Additional face protection must be worn when working with brushcutters.
 
* Shoulder strap / carrying system:
Using a STIHL shoulder strap or carrying harness with soft padding makes work more comfortable, particularly during lengthy jobs.
