The Handy THHTA Hollow Tine Aerator
Hollow tine aeration is one of the most effective things you can do for a compacted lawn — removing plugs of soil opens up channels for water, oxygen, and nutrients to reach the root zone directly, rather than sitting on the surface or running off. The THHTA makes the job straightforward without any machinery, powered purely by body weight on the foot plate.
Five hollow metal tines remove five soil cores simultaneously to a depth of 50mm with each press — deeper than most spike aerators, which simply push soil aside rather than removing it. The spring-assisted mechanism pulls the tines cleanly back out of the ground without effort, and the integrated collection tray catches the removed plugs so they don't scatter across the lawn surface. The tread plate makes penetration smooth even on harder, more compacted ground where manual tools normally struggle.
At 3kg it's lightweight enough to carry and use across the whole garden without fatigue, the soft grip handle keeps operation comfortable throughout, and the foldable design makes storage compact. A simple, effective tool for annual or seasonal lawn aeration.
