For spare parts, it is essential that we have the right information to identify the machine or the specific part required. Without a specific code to identify the part, we cannot find the exact part required. Even with a specific model name, parts often vary depending on the year of manufacture.

To identify the correct spare part, we need either:

Your machine model and serial number/year of manufacture (for chassis parts), or
The engine model and code (for engine parts).

Without this information, we cannot guarantee that the part supplied will be compatible with your machine.

Common Parts

These are parts we keep in store and are often universally used across multiple machines. If you are after any of these parts, we recommend bringing the old part into us and we can most likely match it up to something we keep here.

We can usually match up to the old part for the following:

Spark plugs
Air Filters
Fuel Filters
Primer bulbs
Oil filters
Fuel Pipe
Chainsaw Chains
Chainsaw bars

We keep the following in stock at all times:

Engine Oil (SAE 30 and SAE 10W-40)
2-Stroke Oil
Chain oil
Aspen 2 and 4 Stroke fuel
Strimmer line (We may need to know the model as most models do not fit all sizes)
Universal Strimmer Heads (we would need you to bring in the old machine to ensure it fits)

Chassis Parts

Unfortunately they do not make it easy to find parts for machines in this industry, so without this information, we will likely be unable to find the required part for your machine.

For Chassis parts we need the following:

Model Details AND
Either the year of manufacture, or the serial number
Occasionally there is a part number written on the part itself.

These details can usually be found on a sticker somewhere on the machine such as in the photo provided, provided it has not peeled or rubbed off over time.

Engine Parts

If it is a main engine part and it is not listed under common parts, we will need the engine model and code in order to find the exact part. This is usually found either on a label on the engine, or imprinted onto the side. If it is a briggs & stratton engine (commonly used in mowers) this will be in one of three places, but for other engines this may differ:

1. On the front of the engine directly above the spark plug

2. On the front of the engine between the OHV symbol and the air cleaner

3. Stamped on the sheet metal above the muffler, either on the right or left side

Sometimes the engine model, type and code are not labelled, in which case they should be as shown on the following image.

Pull Cord

For just the pull cord:

For us to fit a new pull cord:

If it is just the recoil unit:
We can fit a new pull cord overnight if can take off just the recoil unit. Sometimes it is covered by the chassis of the mower and so you might need to remove the case that surrounds it.

If it is the whole machine:
The machine will need to go into our normal wait queue meaning there will be a wait time before we are able to get the machine back to you.

We always keep pull cord here for which we can provide a length of for £3.

charge for fitting a new pull cord:
We charge quarter of an hour labour (£12.50+VAT) + the price of the new cord (£3) to fit a new cord

Electrical cables

Duraplug:

For us to fit a new pull cord:

For broken electrical cables there are two main options. We can either repair the existing wire with a duraplug, or create a brand new cable for the machine.

The duraplug itself is £12.13 and is relatively straightforward to fit yourself. However if you want us to fit it for you there will be an additional charge of quarter of an hours labour (£15), and it will need to go into our normal wait queue.

We can create and fit a new cable of the required length at a rate of £1 + VAT per meter and the labour to fit it. The charge for labour varies significantly based off the machine itself, since some machines are significantly easier to get into than others. This would also need to go into our normal wait queue.

Chains and Sharpening

New Chains

We keep many common chain sizes ready made in store, if we do not have the size ready made then we can make the required size chain whilst you are in store.
We will need either:

The bar from the chainsaw or the exact chain size needed, details of the chain size can be found on the side of the bar on the lower end. In particular we need the number of drive links, the chain pitch, and the chain gauge.
The old chain for reference

We sharpen chains, blades and shears on Fridays ready for Saturday collection. A sharpened chain can cut just as efficiently as a new one, so we recommend sharpening a chain over replacing it where possible. We can also sharpen hedgecutter blades, but this has to go into our normal wait queue.

Costs

New chains: Tend to range from about £20-40 depending on size
Chain sharpen: costs £9+VAT if off saw, or £11+VAT if on saw.
Shear sharpen: £7+VAT
Hedgecutter sharpen: £45+VAT
Rotary blade sharpen (if off machine): £7+VAT
Cylinder blade sharpen: £4+VAT PER INCH, or £5 per inch if you want us to paint it aswell (well worth it!).
