OUR HISTORY
Though not much is known about our very early roots, Garden
Machinery (Glos) Ltd has foundations in a company called Fewster
and Dennis Limited, which was located in Gloucester Docks and founded in
1974. In 1989, we begun business under the name "Garden Machinery (Gloucester) 1989 Limited", which laid our groundwork as the business we are today.
Our company took a decisive turn, when our current director Phillip Wiggall joined the business at the age of just 16 years old. He started as an apprentice mechanic and worked under Garden Machinery (1989) Ltd for 3 years whilst gaining his level 3 Horticultural Service engineer qualification.
Phillip Wiggall took control of the business with his father (also called Philip Wiggall), under the new name Garden Machinery Gloucester.
Philip Wiggall (Senior) retired and a new business partner joined the company in his place.
When the business partner left, Philip Wiggall became the sole director of the newly formed limited company "Garden Machinery (Glos) Ltd".

Since 2012 there has been no changes to the company directorship, and today we are still a small, dedicated team made up of Phillip Wiggall, James Turley, and Thomas Ridler who are passionate and proud to be your local specialists for garden machinery and repairs in Gloucester. Director & Workshop Manager
Director of Garden Machinery (Glos) Ltd since 2012. Primarily specialises in admin, repair of rotary mowers and also robot mower demonstrations, installations and repairs.
James Turley
Shop & Workshop Assistant Manager
Joined the company working on Saturdays in 2010 and specialises in all garden machinery whether it's petrol, battery or mains electric.
Thomas Ridler
Ride-On, Large Machinery & Vehicle Specialist
Joined the company in 2014 and specialises in ride-ons, large machinery and Vehicles (www.Gloucester-mini.co.uk).
You may also be welcomed by Phillip Wiggall SNR, Maureen Thomas-Powell, Bruce Forbes (van driver) or Isaac Trickey who provide vital support with customers, deliveries and calls, ensuring we won't keep you waiting even in the height of the cutting season.

Here at Garden Machinery (Glos) Ltd we love our Animal Companions whether they are fluffy, slimy or scaly! You will quite often meet Mazikeen & Daisy the Siberian Husky Sisters, our range or Tropical Fish kept by James in our office and sometimes even Sandy, Phillip Snr's dog whom he rescued from bins in Spain.
