The largest capacity salt spreader in The Handy range — 45kg hopper versus 36kg on the THSS80, with a reinforced transmission to handle the additional demands of the larger load. For professional or semi-professional de-icing of larger areas where refilling frequency directly affects productivity, the extra capacity makes a meaningful difference to how much ground can be covered before stopping.
The full stainless steel specification throughout — frame, axle, gearing, and fixings — provides maximum resistance to the corrosive effects of de-icing chemicals and processed salt. The polypropylene hopper adds impact and corrosion resistance, and the reinforced transmission is specifically designed to handle the extra mechanical demands of a heavier load being spread at the same rate. Adjustable deflectors allow quick switching between wide open-area spreading and narrower pathway work without changing the machine setup.
The 30cm wide-profile pneumatic tyres keep the machine stable and easy to push across rough, uneven, or icy ground even when fully loaded, and the hopper screen and rain cover allow continuous operation in typical winter conditions.
