The engine is identical — the same 45cc stratified charge unit producing 2.3kW — and the weight stays at a very manageable 5.0kg dry, so you're not paying for the extra bar length in fatigue.
All the same practical touches are here too: ES Easy Start, tool-less air filter access, side-access chain tensioner, and tool-less oil/fuel caps. It's a well-thought-out package that makes the day-to-day stuff quick and painless, whether you're felling, limbing or cross-cutting.
For the extra £10 over the 15" model, the 18" bar makes this the better buy for anyone dealing with medium to larger trees on a regular basis.
