For tall hedges and hard-to-reach areas, the HCA-236ES-LW is the one to go for. At 2407mm overall it gives you significantly more reach than the standard HCAS version, reducing the need for steps or ladders and making light work of the kind of tall, wide hedges that would otherwise slow you down considerably.
It shares the same professional-grade 21.2cc engine, 519mm double-sided cutter, and 90° one-handed articulating head as its shorter sibling — so the cutting performance is identical, you just get the extra shaft length when you need it. ES Easy Start and low vibration technology are both present, keeping the experience as comfortable as possible despite the additional reach.
At 6.2kg it's still a manageable weight for a long-reach machine, and for anyone regularly dealing with tall hedgerows or boundary hedges, it removes a lot of the awkwardness from the job.
