ECHO HCA-2620ES-HD Long Reach Articulating Petrol Hedge Cutter
The HCA-2620ES-HD covers similar ground to the 265ES-HD on paper, but there are a few meaningful differences that make it stand out. The most notable is the stroke rate — at 5,000 cuts per minute it's considerably faster than the 265, which translates into a cleaner, smoother cut through thicker material and a more polished finish overall.
The gear case is magnesium rather than standard heavy-duty, which shaves a little weight while actually improving durability and heat dissipation — a worthwhile upgrade for a machine being used professionally day in, day out. The needle bearings remain, keeping the cutting head running smoothly under load, and the cutter clearance is adjustment-free, which removes one more maintenance task from the list.
The 25.4cc engine produces a full 1.0kW — a modest but useful step up from the 265 — and the 600ml fuel tank gives you more running time between fills. At 2440mm overall length and 6.5kg it's slightly lighter than the 265 despite packing more performance, and the 135° one-handed blade angle adjustment and three-edge cutter blades are both carried over from that model.
