That extra reach makes it the right tool for larger, more established hedges and tall formal topiary where a shorter blade would mean more passes and more repositioning.
The single-blade design is a deliberate choice for a specific type of work. Where double-blade trimmers cut on both strokes and prioritise speed, a single reciprocating blade cuts in one direction with greater precision — the result is a cleaner, more controlled finish that's particularly valued on formal hedges and box hedging where appearance matters. The 24mm long cutter blade teeth feature three sharp edges for clean finishing, and a high-intensity lightweight aluminium guide bar prevents blade deflection ECHO — important on an 834mm blade where flex at the tip would affect accuracy.
