Ego Multi Tool & Attachments
Choosing an Ego Multi tool couldnt be easier, it is simply a matter of choosing between one of two power heads, either the PH1420E or the PHX1600, and then choosing any number of attachments of your choosing among the 13 available.
The EGO PH1420E is the standard Multi-Tool power head, offering a lightweight carbon-fibre shaft and two-speed control, making it an excellent all-round choice for domestic and general garden maintenance. The PHX1600 Pro X steps things up with a more powerful 1600W brushless motor, three-speed digital control, variable-speed trigger, improved ergonomics and Bluetooth connectivity, making it better suited to demanding professional and extended-use applications. Both are compatible with EGO Multi-Tool attachments, so the choice largely comes down to whether you need the additional power and professional features of the Pro X.
The EP7501 Carbon Fibre Extension Pole can be fitted between the power head and compatible attachments when additional reach is required, making it easier to tackle taller hedges and branches without using a ladder.
Not that this does not include a battery or charger, so this would need to be purchased separately if required. A 5.0Ah or 7.5Ah Battery is recommended for the best balance of weight and runtime, however a 2.5Ah or 4.0Ah battery would also be also suitable for light or domestic use.
