The Handy THS50 23kg Broadcast Spreader
Where a drop spreader applies material in a narrow band directly below the hopper, a broadcast spreader throws material out in a wide arc — covering up to 12 feet (3.66m) with each pass and making it considerably faster for treating larger open lawn areas. The THS50 is the right tool when precision placement along edges isn't the priority and covering ground quickly is.
The 23kg hopper capacity keeps refilling stops to a minimum across larger areas, and the adjustable feed control sets the application rate for different materials — seed, fertiliser, pesticide, herbicide, or ice-melting salts. The spread width can also be adjusted by varying walking speed, giving additional control over application density. The built-in hopper screen prevents clumped or oversized material from clogging the spreading mechanism, and the included hopper cover allows use in rainy conditions without the contents getting wet and compacting.
The metal frame and polypropylene hopper combine durability with corrosion resistance — important for a tool regularly used with fertilisers and chemicals. Large wide-profile pneumatic tyres provide grip and smooth rolling across rough or uneven ground, and the ergonomic T-bar with soft grips keeps operation comfortable throughout.
