The Handy THSS80 36kg Salt Spreader
Specifically built for salt and ice-melt application where a standard spreader's metal components would corrode quickly — the THSS80 uses a stainless steel frame, axle, and fixings throughout, combined with heavy-duty nylon gearing and a polypropylene hopper. That specification makes it resistant to the corrosive effects of de-icing salts and chemicals that would degrade a standard spreader within a season or two of winter use.
The 36kg capacity and 3.66m maximum spread width cover driveways, paths, car parks, and larger hard-standing areas efficiently with fewer refilling stops. Adjustable deflectors allow switching between wide open-area spreading and a narrower focused spread for pathways without changing the machine or application rate. The 30cm wide-profile pneumatic tyres keep it stable and easy to push across uneven or rough ground even when fully loaded.
Versatile enough to use for fertiliser application during the growing season as well as salt spreading through winter, the hopper screen prevents clogging and the rain cover keeps contents dry during operation in wet conditions.
Please note — not suitable for use with rock salt despite being a salt spreader — use processed salt or ice-melt products only.
