The two interchangeable cassettes are what make this genuinely versatile rather than just a single-purpose tool. The scarifier cassette with 10 blades cuts down into the lawn surface to remove deep-rooted thatch — the compacted layer of dead grass and organic matter that prevents water and nutrients reaching the roots. The raker cassette with 24 tines lifts loose moss and surface debris without breaking the soil. Both jobs are necessary for a healthy lawn, and both are covered by one machine.
 
The single-lever height adjustment covers five settings from +5mm to -12mm, allowing the depth of treatment to be matched to the lawn's condition — a lighter pass for maintenance scarifying, a deeper setting for a lawn that hasn't been treated in a few seasons.
